1. Who we are

This website (vvawales.com) is operated by the Vietnam Veterans Of America — Wales, Michigan chapter (“we,” “us,” or “the Chapter”), located at 10458 Lambs Rd, Wales, MI 48027. Contact: contact@vvawales.com, (943) 241-3743. Director: Brian W. Strickland.

2. Acceptance

By visiting this site, submitting the contact form, volunteering interest, or making a donation through our payment processors, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Refund and Cancellation Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or payment features.

3. Purpose of the site

The site provides information about our chapter’s history, membership, volunteer opportunities, events, and ways to support Vietnam-era veterans and families in and around Wales, Michigan. Content is for general informational purposes and is not legal, medical, or benefits advice. VA or other agency decisions remain those agencies’ responsibility.

4. Donations

Online donations, when enabled, are voluntary contributions to support chapter programs (outreach, events, peer support, and related chapter operations). Donations are processed by third-party payment providers (for example Zoho Payments and their banking partners). We do not store full card numbers on this website.

You represent that you are authorized to use the payment method you submit, that information you provide is accurate, and that you are of legal age in your jurisdiction to make a donation.

Tax treatment of donations depends on our tax status and your circumstances. We do not guarantee deductibility. Request a receipt from contact@vvawales.com if you need documentation for your records.

5. Contact form & communications

Information you send via the contact form or email may be used to respond to your inquiry and to coordinate chapter activities. Do not submit sensitive identity documents or full Social Security numbers through the public form.

6. Intellectual property

Site text, layout, and graphics are provided by the Chapter for visitors of this site. You may not scrape, mirror, or commercially reuse site content without prior written permission, except for personal, non-commercial viewing or fair use.

7. Third-party services

Payment processing, email, hosting, and analytics (if used) are provided by third parties under their own terms. We are not responsible for outages or policies of those providers beyond what the law requires of us.

8. Disclaimer & limitation

The site is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent permitted by Michigan and U.S. law, the Chapter disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the site or donation features. Our total liability related to any donation or site use is limited to the amount you donated to us in the twelve months before the claim, if any.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms by posting a revised page with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
